Jazz

All Ages

Jazz dance is a performance [dance] and style that in the United States arose in the mid 20th century. Jazz dance may allude to vernacular jazz or to Broadway or dramatic jazz. The two types expand on African-American vernacular styles of dance that arose with jazz music. Over time it has evolved into many different variations of jazz; Broadway jazz, traditional jazz, modern jazz, commercial jazz, and many more.

Jazz starts with our youngest 2 years old's in READY SET DANCE, moving into the Mini's age groups from 6 to 8 years, before heading into our junior age group at 9.

RECREATIONAL

Jazz Attack offer students a fantastic recreational program for those wishing to have fun, dance, move and groove with the latest hits. Recreational classes are for any age and for all abilities. Students will not be involved in mid year competitions, however will have the choice to be involved in the end of year concert. This is the perfect class if you are wanting to come and have fun with friends and learn the basics of dance in a fun and friendly environment.

Classes for troupes are broken up by age groups.

Exams are held through the Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dance Syllabus a Nationally Recognised Dance Society with over 80 years of service to the dance community.
